Reaching out to congregations in Russia

Like many other congregations across the UK, St Aldhelm Benefice, in the Isle of Purbeck, sent clothes to Ukraine when the Russian invasion started. They raised money and prayed faithfully, but as the fighting continued and the suffering on both sides increased, they've been weighed by the conviction that there is more that we, as a Church, could do.

National church funding has supported almost 90 warm spaces in the Diocese. Support is also being given to all parishes in the diocese with their energy bills.


Message to people of Jersey following tragedies

A message from Bishop Stephen to the people of Jersey, following days of tragedy which began with the loss of a fishing vessel and the lives of its three crew on Thursday, followed by the explosion which has killed at least five people in the early hours of Saturday.
