Digital Giving DBF Grant Fund
We are pleased to be offer a limited number of grants, up to the value of £195, towards any contactless device available to purchase through Parish Buying, including the new CollecTin More (A15) including Stripe Wisepad 3 Reader which can be used offline. If connectivity issues have stopped you applying in the past, please don’t let that hold you back this time round.
If you already have a stand-alone contactless device, you will not be eligible, but if you are using a SumUp Air or SumUp solo, or other device that is not a standalone donation device, you are encouraged to apply to upgrade.
Fund Criteria
The fund opens on 1 May and runs until 31 July. Applications will be reviewed at the end of each month (1 June, 30 June and 31 July). There are 12 grants available through this promotion. The fund may close earlier if all grants are awarded.
The grant is for £195, towards the cost of a CollecTin More or Payaz device, purchased through Parish Buying. It is being offered to you with funding from the Diocesan Board of Finance, and must only be spent on an agreed contactless card reader purchased through Parish Buying.
The purchase of an offline model must be agreed in advance with the DBF. If not, the grant is conditional on being connected to the internet, either through broadband, mobile data via a 4G/5G router, or activating the mobile SIM in the device.
In order to be successful, you will be required to register with SumUp/Stripe and GiveALittle, via Parish Buying, as part of the application process (there is no charge associated with this step).
Further conditions are detailed on the Grant Application Form.
Request a Signal Survey
DBF Digital Giving Officer Harry Neary can visit your church to undertake a signal survey; you don’t need to be present so long as the church is open, but it is a good opportunity to ask questions or request a device demonstration.
Connectivity should not be considered a barrier, as there is a new CollecTin on the market that works offline using Stripe. We are keen to hear from churches who did not feel ready to apply to the 2024 National Digital Roll Out.
