Are you passionate about all the children and families in our three Church of England primary schools and 10 villages flourishing and growing in faith, hope and love?

Do you try and practise trauma-informed, person-centred pastoral care?

If yes, then we would love to meet you and hear how we could work collaboratively to make the loving kindness of Jesus known in our beautiful West Dorset parishes.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Sees every person as a child of God, made in the image of love.
  • Has a flexible approach to liturgy, able to lead diverse services, including Common Worship, BCP, ‘Breakfast Church’, ‘Cafe Church’, ‘Garden Church’ and ‘Forest Church’.
  • Is committed to working two days a week, plus Sundays.

We can offer:

  • A warm welcome from our ministry team of the Rector, Lay Worship Leaders and Administrator.
  • A spacious four-bedroom detached rectory with garden in the scenic village of Portesham.
  • Ministry in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Jurassic Coast, with one of the most scenic coastal drives in England.
  • Ministry opportunities in ‘pilgrimage’ and ‘help our planet’.

If you require more information, please contact the Archdeacon of Sherborne, The Ven Penny Sayer, on adsherborne@salisbury.anglican.org or on 01305 269074.

Closing date: Thursday 29 October

Visit and interview: Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 November

An enhanced (with home check) DBS is required
