Lifeboat blessing

Last Sunday, the Swanage Lifeboat Station was blessed on its 150th anniversary with Bishop Stephen. Due to strong winds, the service took place at the station, not out on the water.

The service was led by Lifeboat Chaplain Rev Tony Higgins with curate Rev Natalie Davies, and David Corben, chair of the Swanage Lifeboat station. The service marks the end of the annual Lifeboat week in Swanage.

"Swanage Lifeboat Week has a packed programme of activities and entertainment, from the much-loved build-a-boat competition and family-friendly charity duck race to the popular lifeboat quiz, gig racing, live music and lots more."
