Gypsy Roma Traveller History day June 2025
This year, a traditional Gypsy Waggon known as a ‘Vardo’ pulled up in the Borough Gardens Dorchester. There were a number of traditional crafts like clothes peg making, basket making and flower making going on. There was music and some traditional food along with stalls telling people about Traveller History in Dorset. The event was organised by Kushti Bok www.kushtibokdorset.co.uk
Roma Holocaust Memorial Day Wimborne Minster 2 August 2025
This year's event was generously hosted by Wimborne Minster, and a very good example of the Church working alongside travellers through it’s partnership with Kushti Bok. Michael Dooley the Lord Lieutenant of Dorset attended with 150 other people. The service remembered the 5000,000 Roma and Sinti people killed during the Nazi Holocaust.
