Celebrations for The Queen's Platinum Jubilee are well underway as we look forward to the weekend, especially for schools, as they have squeezed their fun in before the long bank holiday.
One such school being Bishops Cannings, who did something very unusual indeed - they came together to give St Mary’s Church a big hug last Friday! The fantastic photo below was captured by a drone as everyone was in position.
Chair of Governors, Caroline Martin said,
"After holding a short service inside church to mark the Queen's Jubilee we managed to get all 207 pupils, our staff and members of the local congregation out of the church and into position - holding hands in an orderly circle around St Marys! It was quite emotional when we even managed to give a co-ordinated three cheers for the Queen as head of our church and sing in unison. A joyful morning indeed!"
