A message from Archbishop Justin ahead of his missional visit to the diocese

We are looking forward to welcoming Archbishop Justin Welby to the diocese between 9-11 June, who will lead us in a diocese-wide evangelistic mission to make Christ known , that we all may flourish and grow.

It’s important that the whole diocese unites in prayer at this time, asking God to be at work before, during, and after this very special weekend. Revd Nigel Done (Diocesan Director or Ordinands) and Revd Tony Monds (Bishops Chaplain) have put together a daily prayer resource to keep up our Rhythm of Prayer.

You can find a link to each week’s Rhythm of Prayer resources here

Everyone is welcome to join the weekend's conclusion - a celebratory service in the Salisbury Cathedral Close, starting at 3.30 pm and ending just before 5 pm. Come along in person or via the Youtube live stream on the Salisbury Diocese Youtube channel

As part of the weekend of mission, a number of College of Evangelists will be joining us.

St. Gregory’s Church, Dorset, will be hosting a free ‘Growing Faith with Children and Families’ event with speaker Lucy Moore at 12 pm. As the current Head of the ‘Growing Faith Foundation’, and founder of Messy Church seventeen years ago, Lucy is guaranteed to put on a fun-filled event for all the family.

Likewise, St John’s, Pewsey, are putting on their own creative workshop “for those locals interested in sharing and growing faith with busy active families.” The runs from 10 am - 2 pm, and will be led by Tom Price from the Archbishop's College of Evangelists. There will be provision for children to be looked after, but this event is focused on adults interested in sharing and growing their own faith.

In the words of Archbishop Justin in a special video to the diocese:  “Please do everything you can to get involved. But above all, pray, pray, pray.”
