Bishop Andrew visited Pitton CE Primary School as part of their Collective Worship. The whole school was able to attend the assembly which focussed on the value of perseverance.
Headteacher, Mrs Wilkinson, said: "It was an honour to have the Bishop visit the school. His message to staff and pupils was an uplifting and inspiring one of hope and aspirations."
The Bishop then took time to meet with pupils, creating a wonderful opportunity for the children to ask questions and explore what being a Bishop really means.
Two year six pupils were also selected to give the Bishop a tour of the school where he learnt more about the 'State of Being' curriculum, whilst admiring the generous outdoor space and scenic views the school benefits from.
By the end of the visit, the Bishop was full of praise for the schools pupils and commented that he'd love to return for another visit – and even bring his guitar next time!
