2 September 

Loving God, 

Thank you for the community of Purbeck and its Rural Dean: Richard Bartlett and Lay Chair: Carol Richards. We give thanks for all the opportunities for mission and ministry across Purbeck deanery this summer, welcoming tourists, pilgrims, families and friends. We give thanks for the arrival of new clergy across the deanery, and pray for good support and fellowship together. 

We pray for the schools: children, staff and families as they begin a new academic year today.

Creator God, 

We pray for the community of Swanage and Studland, and its Clergy: Ian Bird, Jo Levasier, Natalie Davies, Dave Richards, Tony Higgins. 

We pray for Natalie, the new curate, as she continues to settle into the team.  We pray for St Mark’s School and the relationships with other local schools that they may continue to strengthen and grow.  We pray for God’s guidance as we consider team development and mission.

Jesus our Living Lord, 

We pray for the communities of Wareham in Purbeck and its Clergy: Hilary Bond, Neil Kelly, Deborah Swann, Michael Young. We pray for wisdom and discernment as the Wareham family of Churches seek to appoint a new Team Rector.  We ask for God’s blessing upon all those who are supporting mission and ministry in the Parish during this vacancy period.

Our God, 

We pray today for the community of St Aldhelm, Purbeck and its Clergy: Lindy Cameron, Nick Webb , We thank you for the dedication of retired Clergy, churchwarden, stewards, Licensed Lay Ministers, Lay Pastoral Assistants.  We pray for Richard and Louise White as they prepare to take up the post of Rector at the end of this month.  We pray for their settling in and forging of strong relationships both in the benefice and local community.

Loving Lord Jesus, 

We raise to you in prayer  the community of West Purbeck, Purbeck and its Clergy: Richard Bartlett, Jenny Alidina, David Chillman, Lydia Reese and all those in lay roles. We give thanks for the arrival of Lydia the new Deacon and pray that her ministry may blossom here. 

We give thanks for the many people who are visiting the benefice at this time, and pray they may they find rest and refreshment. 

We pray for ministry across the benefice as we discern priorities for a new Associate Priest.

Almighty God, 

We pray for the community of Milton & Blandford and its Assistant Rural Dean: Carolyn Couzens and  Lay Chair: Elizabeth Patterson.  We all look forward to a renewed vision of hope as we seek God’s will together across churches in making Jesus known here within our communities and beyond. We look forward to welcoming Jane Williams as Rural Dean at the end of September.

We thank you Lord for the community of Blandford Forum, Milton & Blandford  and its Clergy: Chris Beaumont and Will Burditt. We pray for Licensed Lay Minister: Debby Griffiths and for Megan Bishop, the newly appointed children and school’s minister and chaplain. growing the children and families ministry at BFPC.  We pray for the “Building for the Future" initiative.
