Reading this week's prayers is Dan Parker. Dan Parker is a qualified accountant and serves as the Chief Finance and Operations Officer at the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust where he has worked for the last seven years. DSAT is a Schools Trust serving the needs of 28 church schools within the Diocese of Salisbury which has a vision for the growth of thriving Christian learning communities. Prior to joining DSAT, Dan has held finance management roles at an FE college in Southampton and previous to that, a housing association in Bournemouth that provided a diverse range of housing, support and learning services for socially excluded people. He and his wife live in Christchurch and are seeking a move towards Poole where they are members of St Mary’s, Longfleet. They have three daughters – all in their twenties - and are kept busy with their Border/ Patterdale terrier cross named Winnie. In his spare time, Dan enjoys playing bass guitar and supporting his favourite football team, Southampton FC.

Lord God,
We thank you for the community of Weymouth Ridgeway and its Clergy: James Menzies, Philip Elliott, Ada Whittock, Brian Ellis. We raise to you Licensed Lay Ministers: Tony King, Alan Macintosh, Sue Le Riche, Georgie Menzies and Licensed Lay Ministers Emeritus: Andrew Mills. We pray that Christ would be exalted in all churches and ministry.
We pray for HMP/YOI Portland for your guidance and peace to be with inside, inmates and staff.
In particular, we pray for growth and fruitfulness in discipleship- and people coming to faith in Jesus.
