Combining ministry in Sixpenny Handley with Gussage St Andrew and Pentridge with Chettle, Farnham and Tollard Royal
Are you keen to shape a new pastoral role?
Would you like to join an active area team?
Do you have a heart for rural ministry?
This newly shaped post will combine the role of supporting the network of retired clergy across Dorset with a part time Rector designate role across six communities in the heart of Cranborne Chase.
We seek a priest who enjoys supporting colleagues, who will enjoy being part of village life, is comfortable with a range of worship styles and who enjoys making a difference.
We are enthusiastic, ‘can-do’ people who long to work with a new priest in bringing more people to know the love and fullness of life in Jesus Christ. The eco-friendly vicarage is adjacent to St Mary’s Church in the heart of Sixpenny Handley, a village mid way between Salisbury and Blandford Forum. Sixpenny Handley is a vibrant community linked with four smaller villages.
The wider role is an exciting, new opportunity which involves working across Dorset with the Bishop and Archdeacon.
For an informal discussion please contact the Archdeacon of Sherborne, the Ven Penny Sayer, on 01305 269074 or by email adsherborne@salisbury.anglican.org.
An enhanced DBS is required.
