Rector Designate

Pimperne, Stourpaine, Durweston with Bryanston and the Upper Tarrants, North Dorset

Are you a skilled leader who can bring out the best in Christian communities set in the beauty of the Dorset Countryside?  Having had interim ministry to bring these congregations together, this newly created benefice to the north and east of Blandford Forum gives the opportunity to develop continue to discipleship and mission. You will need skills in collaborative leadership to work with lay and clergy colleagues to enable both continuity and change.

We are looking for a Rector designate with experience of rural ministry, a mission mindset and who enjoys engaging with all ages, through community involvement and informal and formal worship. A team player who will relish working with committed congregations, church wardens and lay leaders to bring out the best in them and enable further growth. There are many opportunities for mission throughout the new benefice, particularly with young people in two schools and the areas of new housing.

The benefice is located on the edge of the Cranborne Chase. The Jurassic coast and the cathedral city of Salisbury are both half an hour away.

For an informal discussion please contact Revd Canon Lucy Holt on 07713 490076 or by email on lucy.holt@salisbury.anglican.org
