The Benefice of Charminster, Stinsford and the Chalk Stream Villages celebrated one of their own releasing a book over the summer. Hazel Morgan, who has worked hard in her deanery to help churches listen to those with disabilities, and include them, has written The Joy of Knowing Pete – an insight into her life and faith whilst caring for her son who had Downs Syndrome.
The creativity that #SalisburysGotTalent has unleashed has been quite remarkable. Licensed Lay Minister Yvonne Allen has written of the unique way St Giles', Great Wishford, invested their £10.
The Revd Jenny Nelson, member of the Sudan Link Partnership, delighted in being able to meet so many guests from Sudan in August. She has written about her week, and the importance of prayer in this partnership.
Sarah Musgrave, who kindly hosted Bishop Data and his family when they visited the diocese in August, has written about her reflections as they shared deeply through the week.
The Poole-Wau Partnership was delighted to welcome six Bishops from South Sudan to Poole Deanery from 8 to 12 August 2022. Mark Rathbone of Lytchett Minster shares more.
Riders and Striders all over Dorset are gearing up for the annual Ride and Stride for churches, which will take place on Saturday 10 September.
The Mothers’ Union in the Diocese of Salisbury played its part last week in welcoming over 80 Bishops principally from the South Sudan and their wives to Salisbury from Canterbury following the Lambeth Conference. Sandra Gamble, president of the Mothers' Union in our diocese, has shared more.

The Bishop’s fete has become a firm fixture in the diocesan calendar, with the Bishop heralding it as ‘Salisbury’s great family day out’. In typical fete style, there will be a popular array of stalls; and, as ever, visitors will have a chance to get up close to camels!
