Reading this week's prayers is Canon Richard Kirlew. He is Lead Chaplain at Salisbury Livestock Market, ministering to farmers and market staff alike.
Reading this week's prayers is Susie Richardson. Susie is Prison Governor at the Channel Island Prison in Jersey, since moving there with her family at Easter, 2021. Susie has served 19 years in prisons in England and Wales, which has included a number of years at HMP Guys Marsh and HMP Erlestoke, also in our diocese. Since moving to the island, the family has been part of a church plant and she is actively working with churches and faith communities across the island in the prison’s mission of ‘Realising Better Neighbours’.
Reading this week's prayers on social media is Judy Anderson. Judy is Associate Warden of Licensed Lay Ministers for the diocese, and a Lay Canon of Salisbury Cathedral. Admitted and licensed as a Reader (LLM) in 1992, for the last 20 years she has ministered in the Nadder Valley Benefice, a large multi-parish rural benefice between Salisbury and Shaftesbury. She lives with her cat Orlando and has surprised herself recently by finding that she actually enjoys gardening!
Reading this week's prayers on social media is Jon Honour. Jon has been the vicar of Trinity Church in Guernsey for the past 15 years. He is married to Anna, and they have 3 sons, 2 daughters-in-law and 3 grandchildren.
Reading this week's prayers on social media is Will Burdditt. Will was ordained in June this year and began his curacy in Blandford Forum Parish Church in July. He's married to Sophie and have two incredible daughters. He loves the outdoors, talk theology, eat lasagne and exercise.
Reading this week's prayers on social media is Leila Mather. Leila serves as Rector of the rural Benefice of Charminster, Stinsford and the Chalk Stream Villages, in Dorset.
Reading this week's prayers on social media is Karen Hutchinson. Karen is Lay Ministry Development Officer for the Diocese of Salisbury and lives in the Chalke deanery where she leads Sunday worship in a variety of parishes.
Reading this week's prayers on Social Media is Dave Coates. Dave used to be a lecturer at Loughborough University before retiring and moving to Hamworthy six years ago. Dave and his wife Sal were warmly welcomed by St Michael's Church in Hamworthy where they continue to worship and serve. Dave is on the PCC and is also church treasurer and Sal continues to contribute to the work amongst children.
