Reading this weeks prayers is Gary Waldron. "I am a final-year ordinand at Sarum College, a friend, a husband to Sam, a father to two, a son, a brother, a newly professed member of the Franciscan Third Order, a production engineer, and above all, someone who tries and often fails to follow Jesus. I am always seeking ways to help others see how the fact of Jesus Christ`s life and resurrection can change them and their worldview, should they let him in."
Reading this week’s prayers is Simon Pope. Simon is a curate in the Avon River Team, a benefice of seven churches to the north and east of Stonehenge. Simon is married with two adult children and has a passion to reach and enable all people to know the love of God. In his spare time he enjoys walking in mountains or along the coast, and enjoys all kinds of sport, even supporting his team Everton (which is a bit of a struggle right now!).
Reading this week's prayers is Revd Lorna Johnson. Lorna supports children and young people and those that work with them in the Mission and Ministry Team within Diocese Board of Finance, with a new focus on Climate action.
Reading this week's prayers is Evie Ford. Evie is the Children and Families Lead at St Nicholas Church in Corfe Mullen. She has a huge heart for families growing in faith and believes we can all be a little bit more childlike in our relationship with God.
Reading this week's prayers is Will Triffitt. Will was appointed to the DBF as Digital Engagement Officer in 2023 working with the Comms Team and Vision Team to help share the vision of the diocese. Outside of work he enjoys beach walks with an ice cream or hot chocolate, and supporting Bradford City.
Reading our prayers this week is Mandy Christopher. Mandy was appointed to the DBE as Assistant Director of Education in 2014 and has 19 years worth of experience in nursery and primary education. She is currently seconded to the DBF as Head of Growing Faith, working to develop relationships between Church, school and community.
Reading our prayers this week is Caroline Spindlow. Caroline is the Ministry Resources Officer at the DBF, supporting curates and their training incumbents across the diocese and shortly to be licensed at St John’s with St Mary’s, Devizes as Associate Priest there.
Reading this week's prayers is Eleanor Rance, Eleanor is the Rector of Salisbury Plain Benefice, a single parish of 4 villages in Stonehenge Deanery.
Reading this week's prayers on social media is Berno Vierbergen. As the Anglican team's Youth Minister in Swanage, Berno works with young people through the The Wave Youth & Children's Ministry (The Wave) as part of an ecumenical team. The team includes the Baptist Youth Minister and Schools Worker employed by The Wave. Berno manages the Christian Unions for two local secondary schools, runs clubs and engages in strategic planning to develop youth work in Swanage. Alongside youth work Berno also does filmmaking and enjoys living in the countryside with his wife and two children.
Reading this week's prayers on social media is Lizzie Whitbread, Lizzie is the Senior Adviser for Work with Children and Young People. Having worked with children and young people throughout her career in both the church and the charity sector, she has a passion for all young people to have the opportunity to flourish and experience life in all its fullness. Her focus is on helping churches, schools and the wider community to work collaboratively with and for children and young people.
